The left does this over and over and they think they’re cute, but they conveniently forget every single incident when someone on the right goes over the top.

Martin Bashir is a nobody. But there could have been a controversy about this if people like Ann had wanted to make one.
Instead, it was Ann Coulter who gave him a pass and used the occasion to attack the McCains.
If somebody you don't like is making a fool or a disgrace out of himself, maybe people notice on their own, or maybe they don't, but you don't get in the way of that as Ann did and redirect the controversy to somebody else (not unless you're crazy about publicity yourself -- or just crazy).
