Proposing a 2nd Amendment Tea Party March on DC and all State Capitals
April 12, 2013 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/12/2013 1:53:34 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

It's high time we remind the traitors among us that our Constitution and Bill of Rights, including the Second Amendment, are not subject to debate, negotiation or compromise. Hell no we will not surrender or weaken our God-given, constitutionally guaranteed right to keep and bear arms! Nor will we allow our rights to be infringed upon by the communist/Marxist traitors in our congress!!

This would require an all out nation-wide march by all tea party patriots. If tea party patriots are serious about defending our God-given constitutional rights, NOW is the time. In fact, this may very well be our last peaceful shot at it.

Do not allow them to infringe on our right to keep and bear arms!! Their goal is to get us registered, then begin finding excuses to deprive us of our gun rights. If you are a gun owner, a veteran, a Christian, a defender of the constitution and or you consider yourself to be a liberty loving patriot, the tyrannical Obama/Holder/Napolitano government has a target painted on your back and they aim to disarm you, jail you or kill you in the process!! And, with very few exceptions, our toothless Republican wimps in the congress are selling us out!!

FReepers get in touch with your fellow chapter members and or tea party groups. Let's get it together get it organized, get it coordinated in all 57 states before it's too late.

Let's put the traitors on notice!!

We will NOT be disarmed!!

We will not board the cattle cars!!

We will not surrender our rights or our guns!!

Never again!!

DON'T TREAD ON ME!!

Definitely feels like it’s time for such a rally. I’d add opposition to Rubio’s amnesty too. If just a few big conservative media types promoted a rally, I think 1 million could show up.

I’m all for a march, and a little civil disobedience on the side to make things interesting.

Problem is, those we send to DC don’t seem to feel any allegiance toward the people they supposedly work for.

We marched in 2009, gave control of the House back to the Republicans in 2010, and it’s Republicans in the Senate, and now the House, that are leading the assault on our 2nd Amendment rights.

It may well be that the time for marching has passed.

We need both. But you offer pretty good advice for follow-up. Marching alone goes nowhere. But semi-organized dissent can be powerful. Why do you think the TeaParty is so hated? is it because it's the largest actual grass-roots movement, with the overlooked and marginalized of the mainstream, standing up and saying, "hey you [expletives deleted] we are sick of your CRAP" to the political class, and the smirking leftists/statists at the SAME TIME?

The backlash against an earlier round of Dianne Feinstein/Baba-the-dumb-Boxer like gun grabbing, cost the Dems the Senate and the House, not that long ago (under Clinton).

The TeaParty has frustrated the Dems, and the Rinos. What's not to like? geez. How about we co-opt our own political Party?

Let's DO IT AGAIN. Whatever it takes. Moms & Pops (and granny too) with pop-guns & pop-tarts. Bring megaphones. Lots of signs. Make some noise. Be heard. Then if you can get their attention, see if it can be held long enough to educate 'em, both those that really really need some basic U.S. Constitutional refresher courses, and those whom already love it -- leaving the latter sort better minded towards community involvement follow-up, to have their voices heard there, both inside and outside of the public buildings (which takes a different skill set, but still would need the heft of numbers and noise to back them up.)

Somehow...we'll need some leadership to emerge. Maybe you? All too typically, politicians need excel at holding fingers to the wind to see which way the wind blows. Make some wind, if it be only huge gaseous farts in their general direction (make the green cloud envelope the problem) then once the problem is framed well enough, sell the solution. The larger solution (such as you took stab at outlining, thanks) need not be the primary selling point.

'That's right, I'm a-saying it, and I have to, even as it makes me gag & puke...

I’m in. How about the day after the TCMS?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That’d be Monday, June 10th.
Assuming Sunday to be a day of recovery and whatnot..
Who is savvy in these things and can advise?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Pinging the TCMS shoot list for thoughts.

Minnesota has a popular “Tax Cut Rally” Saturday April 27th.

Perhaps we can tag on to that with a 2nd Amendment Rally?!?

Maybe there's a jillion lurkers nodding agreement and making plans, but shy of two hundred posts after three hours on a Friday evening is less than encouraging . . .

Off hand I’m thinking of a simple black and white sign with a list of declarations of what we will no longer accept. Purr-fect. Grass-roots. Speak on, shout it out. When it's real, it's noticed, or can be. Can help encourage others too.

We have more wisdom in the people, than we do in the Senate & Presidency. Let's make them lose for a change (that we can believe in!).

Somehow, we need tap into any and all of those "dissafected" by the lefty mainstream, wherever they may be found (or can be encouraged to join us) whether they be mature educated black folks unhappy with the huge deficits and ever growing government intrusion into everyone's lives, or young people along with much of the rest of the nation facing tough times ahead as the so-called Affordable Care Act shrinks jobs by shrinking their hours, leaving us all worse off then before for reason large portions of small paychecks will be getting sidelined to insurance companies/investment bankers ---whom have BIG FRIENDS in the Democrat Party and Whitehouse (it's not a big-biz Republican scheme this time around, no way Jose') and so on.

Ok -- that won't fit on a sign, but there are some folks around here who could condense parts of similar.
