I know the woman is in terrible state of grief, but the term useful idiot comes to mind for having been used like this....a political pawn.

Grief and depression tend to lower a person's IQ significantly. She is probably a nice person but her stupidity will cause the deaths of thousands more little ones.
Low intellect is a disease which must be removed. It is the only disease which causes a nice person to cause senseless destruction.
