Vicious, hateful people — so much for “enlightened” lovers of the Arts.
I do enjoy the current Doctor Who series on the BBC (no friend of MT), and note that the latest episode takes place on a Russian sub during the 80’s ... it wouldn’t surprise me that there will be a number of jabs at the then-Prime Minister. Under the circumstances, a dedication to Mrs. Thatcher would be a claasy move, but I’m not expecting it.
Doctor Who, during the reign of Russell Davies, was vehemently anti-conservative. It showed in scripts and in the comments of the actors, notably Sylvester McCoy, the 7th Doctor.
With the departure of Davies, and with Steve Moffat taking the helm, the script writers have gotten better, and more respectful.
