Hunt For The Man In Black: Authorities Search For 'Dark-Skinned or Black Male' As Police Guard Another Potential Suspect In Boston Hospital By KATIE DAVIES and HAYLEY PETERSON 15 April 2013
Police are seeking a suspect in the Boston bombings who is described as a 'dark-skinned or black male' carrying a backpack, while authorities are also reportedly questioning a potential suspect at an area hospital, according to reports.
The suspect at large was spotted at the scene of the twin explosions at the Boston Marathon finish line on Monday and he wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood, according to authorities. Five minutes before the first explosion, officials said the person attempted to gain entry to a restricted area and was turned away. Authorities say he may be a foreign national, based on his accent.
Another potential suspect was also being questioned by police at an area hospital Monday afternoon. Several news outlets reported that he is a 20-year-old Saudi national in the country on a student visa.

No offense, but if you say 'Boston' to most Americans, it'll probably sound more like Baastin.
I'm from Cali. For most of my life I didn't think we Californians even had an accent. After living abroad, then moving to Texas, I soon became disabused of that. People know where I'm from as soon as I open my mouth.

I lived in CT for a while. Most of my co-workers native to the area. The only person who spoke with a very pronounced “Boston” accent was a young guy my age from Boston. That’s when I figured only Boston types spoke that way, not all New England (plus my dad’s large family is from Maine).

I sound much like my Baltimore region but there are some words I just will not pronounce as Baltimorons are supposed to.
What I don’t get is a person not thinking their region speaks that way.
Was listening to a scanner the other day after the event. Police had a person come forward with a hand-cam showing someone putting something in locations that later exploded.
Description of individual, if I remember correctly, average height, dark skinned male. Medium build. Wearing a black hoody and carrying a backpack. Individual may have tried to gain access to restricted area. Foreign accent.
Still curious as to if they ever tracked down that Penske truck that tried to get into a restricted area...

Penske trucks are used for platforms and stages quite a bit. It’s not that unusual to see one getting ready to load up at an event.
This one was trying to gain access to a restricted area while claiming to have “medical supplies” onboard.
Last I heard, they still haven’t found it.
