Judge Rules In Favor of Lesbians Suing Hawaii B&B By JENNIFER SINCO KELLEHER

HONOLULU (AP) — A judge has ruled a Hawaii bed and breakfast violated the law when two women were denied a room because they're gay.

The Hawaii First Circuit Court judge ruled in favor of a Southern California couple who sued Aloha Bed & Breakfast for discrimination in 2011, Lambda Legal announced Monday. In 2007, Diane Cervelli and Taeko Bufford tried to book a room at the bed and breakfast because it's in Hawaii Kai, the same east Honolulu neighborhood where the friend they were visiting lived.

When Cervelli specified they would need one bed, the owner asked if they were lesbians. Cervelli responded truthfully and the owner said she was uncomfortable having lesbians in her house because of her religious views, the lawsuit said.

The bed and breakfast violated the state public accommodations law and is ordered to stop discriminating against same-sex couples, according to the ruling dated April 11. The public accommodations law prohibits establishments that provide lodging to transient guests from discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation, race, color, ancestry, religion, disability and sex —including gender identity or expression. Jim Hochberg, a Honolulu attorney representing the bed and breakfast's owner said Monday the ruling doesn't consider her First Amendment rights. "The public needs to be aware of this decision because it has far-reaching consequences," he said.

The Hawaii Civil Rights Commission joined the lawsuit.

Did the owner admit asking that question?

The attorney makes it sound like that’s a possibility because he’s addressing the first amendment angle but a good attorney is going to argue the facts so, he’s not going to make a claim of lying unless he can prove it.

If the owner didn’t admit it and there’s no video tape, I don’t believe it happened.

I’m not calling gays liars. But activist gays are liars and these two seem awfully happy to have their picture taken.

And you know they’re not good people because a good person would have left when asked.

There is no situation in which the government should meddle is this sort of family decision. In the event that the decent people lose to the gay mafia, they will probably close the B&B. The other option is to “allow” perverts but paint the room with the appropriate biblical quotes as decorations. I’d like to be on the jury for this case; that’s what jury nullification is for.

Here is another example of the govt forcing the citizens to support and service homosexuality.

You'd think we could at least go through a "Don't ask-Don't tell" period.

“Lesbians Suing Hawaii B&B”

And that, right there, is what so-called “gay marriage” is really about.

If someone doesn’t want my business, for whatever reason, I take my business elsewhere. No skin off my nose. It must be sad to live in a state of perpetual outrage where every percieved slight requires the full force of the government be brought down on a small business to avenge my hurt feelings.

If the bed and breakfast is just one little biz in one state, how can the federal government have jurisdiction over it. It doesn’t cross state lines. When did the feds take over our entire lives? A bed and breakfast includes the owners home, in most circumstances. The judge marches right into a family home to force compliance. Sad state of affairs.

When will government and the judiciary stop discriminating against Christians? This case needs to be appealed.....all the way to the Supreme Court, if necessary.

The rights of Conscious were protected under the First Amendment. The right of a business to provide services to
whomever they choose has likewise been violated by that Despotic foreign Judge. The reasoning is as faulty and demented as that of the APA when that corrupt organ dropped homosexuality as treatable condition. (1974) Fornication/sexual immorality ought NEVER trump the First Amendment. and when the State can control any business we are No longer that nation established 1776 —1892 A Christian Nation. A Religious and a Moral people. And we certainly are more like Nazi Germany— or The soviet Communist than the US of A.

I must be blind, it clearly says Hawaii First Circuit Court. Sorry.

I read another article on it and it clearly says the bed and breakfast is also the owner’s home. Very sad.
