The Trayvon Martin Cover Up: Sgt. Lourdes Hodges
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | April 15, 2013 | Sundance

Posted on 04/16/2013 5:37:31 AM PDT by Uncle Chip

Sergeant Lourdes Hodges was the person who opened the “Supplemental report” on the Dashboard of Detective Hadley after he completed sending the information requested to Sanford Sgt. Randy Smith. Hadley sent Smith an 8 page report on Trayvon Martin from a Criminal Mischief complaint filed by School Resource Officer Darryl Dunn.

However, at the behest and instruction of Police Chief Hurley, the Mischief Complaint was only part of the behavioral issue from that day. The second aspect from the incident was Trayvon’s backpack containing stolen jewelry and a burglary tool. This part of the incident was intentionally mislabeled, and misreported, by SRO Dunn to eliminate the need for a criminal investigation.

Instead of attaching the Jewelry to Trayvon Martin, Dunn filled out a report of the jewelry outlining it as “found jewelry”, presenting the issues *as if* it were just found items with no ownership etc. As a consequence the jewelry was sent to evidence storage where it sat without investigation.

After M-DSPD Hadley sent the 8 page report to Sanford PD, the jewelry incident was noted as a case number associated with the Trayvon Martin file – but not attached to the file by name. Hence, Sgt Hodges opened a dashboard supplement so that Hadley could photograph the items and send an additional supplemental report along to Sgt Smith in Sanford who was compiling information for a victimology report.

The information Sgt. Smith eventually compiled, with support from the Miami-Dade School Police Force, never saw the light of day. It disappeared down the rabbit hole, and was not included in the final victimology report filed by Sanford Detective Serino.

Sgt. Lourdes Hodges connects many of the dots associated with the process that was taking place in Miami-Dade immediately following the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.

As we have continued to outline, the Trayvon shooting was recognized immediately as a risk by the M-DSPD Police Chief Charles Hurley.

Hurley had told his officers to avoid issuing criminal reports on young black males in High School, and to find alternate disingenuous methods of using the reports only for school discipline. This process was an effort to support a false premise of improved statistics mandated by Miami-Dade School Superintendent Alberto Carvalho, who hired Hurley.

Both Hurley and Carvalho were being heralded as heroes for incredible reductions in criminal student behavior. Unfortunately, the improvements they were taking credit for were merely due to manipulation of statistics and data.

The publicity surrounding the Trayvon Martin shooting, and the potential for investigative journalism, spooked Hurley who worried the scheme would be discovered. As a consequence he told all police officers and leadership that no information was to be shared with outside agencies – the request by Sanford Police, and the fulfillment of part of that request angered Hurley who launched an Internal Affairs investigation against his own team.

Unfortunately the investigation backfired, because the officers within the General Investigation Unit (GIU) told Internal Affairs officers the truth about what was going on. This expanded the investigation outside the GIU to include dozens of corroborative witnesses.

At the conclusion of the internal investigation Police Chief Hurley was suspended, and later fired.

What you are about to read is Sgt. Lourdes Hodges sworn affidavit to the Internal Affairs investigator outlining what took place from her perspective.

So, let me see if I make a logical assumption here. Had the police not been so PC as to NOT file criminal charges against poor little Trayvon. Had they instead investigated the stolen jewelry in the backpack and files criminal charges like the should have. Chances are that the follwoing would be true.

1) The little angle Trayvon would have spent at least a little time in lock up; probably not more than a day or two.
2) Chances are that more burglaries would have been stopped, or at lest post-poned
3) Chances are that the cherubbed faced innocent, Trayvon, would not have been in a position where he was on the receiving end of someone exercising their right to self defense that night.

Realistically, it probably would have just postponed the inevitability of it happened some later time, or him ending up in prison for some felony. Still, there was always the possibility that he would have turned around.

I’ve thought from near the beginning of this case that Zimmerman was being railroaded.

As more and more stuff comes dribbling out, it’s become apparent to those who care that this is more of a Mag-Lev instead of a railroad. It’s as, if there was a way of screwing up this case and investigation then it was utilized.

They’d have been much better off with Barney Fife who’s motto was, “Nip it in the bud.”

When one is always excused and “let off” for any and all transgressions, major or minor, one ends up with TRAYVONE or OBAMA.

The double standard is death for someone, eventually. Preferably the perp, but all too often, an innocent victim of same.

I have an inkling that the dishonest system set up by Hurley has been continued by his successor. Can't be having the crime statistics go UP 60% in a year!

The big news on Hurley's dismissal was sex misconduct. Was the corrupt reporting and Brady-acting of kids big news in the Miami area? I really don't know, just wondering.

Wow...just wow.

We’re not hearing any of this in the local media, which seems to be more fascinated by whatever astronomical dollar amount the Martins managed to squeeze out of the “wrongful death claim” against the homeowners association of the neighborhood

This case won’t get to a jury. And if it does, it’s over within an hour of jury instructions.

Was the corrupt reporting and Brady-acting of kids big news in the Miami area?

Obviously none of the ace reporters down there at the Miami Herald connected the dots between this cover-up of criminal activity of students in the MDPSD and the cover-up of criminal activity of one of their students in Sanford.

And they still haven't.

I looked around for reports of Hurley connected with Baker acting and otherwise falsifying records. Huffington Post has a collection, and there were a few local paper and teevee reports. The reports of sexual misconduct vastly outnumber the reports of manipulating practices so as to produce a statistically favorable outcome.

I suspect this sort of manipulation is dirt common (meaning, they ALL do it), and not just by police. See the Atlanta Schools and student testing, all manner of accounting gimmicks, and FBI racial categorization for purposes of crime statistics.

Some amount of uncovering serves the purpose into a false belief that most of the government agencies are honest, "see, we caught somebody fudging the books!"

The press is never going to make a big splash if it accidentally accurately reports the bottom line in the Martin case. It's going to take its lumps in the defamation trials, all the while asserting that it is blameless and that all the early reports were honest and accurate.

This case won’t get to a jury.

It shouldn't.

But the jury is the only hope the prosecution has at this point for a conviction, more specifically a biased jury.

The prosecution is counting on prospective jurors lying on their jury applications and in their interviews to cover up those biases just as they relied upon the lies of Sybrina Fulton and Witness 8 for its Capias.

Chances are little Trayvon was a future member of Club Raiford (Raiford Prison) and had he lived to fulfill his destiny would be going there any day now.

“reports of manipulating practices so as to produce a statistically favorable outcome.”

Off topic, but it is this behavior that makes big government ineffective and dangerous. Its why Soviet 5 year plans never worked and why the Great Leap Forward fell on its face.

Lumpen bureaucratic behavior gums up and retards the free flow of real time information and makes decisions on made up or stale data. So nothing ever works as planned. Eventually more energy is spent on covering up discrepancies than in actual problem solving.

This is why the free market trumps government every time.

I don't attribute this to political correctness, but rather to a conspiracy by Carvahlo & Hurley to make Carvalho look good in his job.

If this is not a crime, it should be.

“The information Sgt. Smith eventually compiled ... disappeared down the rabbit hole, and was not included in the final victimology report filed by Sanford Detective Serino.”

“Disappeared” implies that the 8-page report and supplemental reports have not been provided to the Defense in discovery. Can that be true? I suspect all negative data on TM was sanitized at every step via aggressive misinterpretation of FIRPA privacy restrictions, and typical CYA.

Assuming Officer Dunn was assigned to TM’s school during most of TM’s high school career, he would be the first hand source on TM’s crimin...er, “school disciplinary” history — given that the written record was deliberately corrupted. If he knows/tells about TM fighting, swingin’ on bus drivers, etc.: case dismissed. The next step would be whether Dunn can state that Fulton/Martin were made aware of it (involvement of parents was supposedly part of the “diversionary” program).

Not only that, but in light of the video out there of Martin referreing schoolyard fights, it is hard to believe that he was not written up for those as well.

The next step would be whether Dunn can state that Fulton/Martin were made aware of it (involvement of parents was supposedly part of the “diversionary” program).

And he may have been released to Tracy to go up to Sanford because Tracy's girlfriend Brandi Green was a juvenile detention officer who was supposed to supervise him in exile.
