This guy is probably not the attacker. He is either a decoy or just happens to be a muslim student who was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
The attacker would not be right there standing next to the bomb when it was detonated through a cell phone signal. If this was a suicide mission he would just detonate the bomb manually. I hope that this guy is not the only lead that they are pursuing.
There is more than one muslim living in that apartment building, according to the records I saw. Just went through the first letters of the alphabet (and “A” is a common first letter for muslim last names)
Highly speculative, but reportedly a Saudi was acting hinky and hurt in the blast. If he planted the device(s), he may have been slated by an accomplice as “would be”, that is to say an unwitting martyr by the person with the trigger. Much greater propaganda value with a martyr.
