Then read it again!

If you can't see the distinction Hussein is making by saying "not all my conversations in immigrant communities" and then "...my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality..." with all the following "they{s}" and "them{s}" referring to the later... you have a serious problem knowing even what a fact is.

"Of course, not all my conversations in immigrant communities follow this easy pattern..."

"...my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality... They {Arab and Pakistani Americans} have been reminded... they {Arab and Pakistani Americans} need specific reassurances... and that I will stand with them {Arab and Pakistani Americans}.serious problem.

He is speaking about immigrants in general in the 1st part but only Arabs & Pakistanis in the 2nd.

I can infer this. You can infer this. A lot of people can infer this.
But he doesn't say that quote exactly. It's not a factual quote. It's a conflated quote with inference.
Therefore, it can be used against conservatives.
People should stop posting the fictitious quote because it's disingenuous to do so and makes conservatives look like racist idiots.
