They are playing dumb now in order to gather up the photographic and video evidence of the crime scene. They need to know what the public knows before they can manufacture a politically correct crime scenario. It would be dangerous to announce another Bengahzi reason for the crime and have this one blown out of the water by a smoking gun picture or video.

there must be thousands of images, video footage, cellphone images which are remarkably detailed what with the current smart phone tech.
So yes its a no brainer for most that the FBI is solicitation for all the evidence before they play pin the tail on someone.
Here is knowing many will retain their images just because of that, if we had a better political leadership and a far less fear of the usurped power of DHS and the FBI we would help them, but we have been fooled many times, they can just either fix the problem or America will.
My bet is on the latter.

I’m just mystified as to why no one has claimed responsibility for this. The whole point of terrorism is to make sure people are terrified of YOUR PARTICULAR GROUP. That no one has stepped forward makes me very uneasy.
