Hamtramck is one of two enclaved cities within the Detroit limits. It was famously a Polish community but not so much anymore. Dearborn is about 10 miles SW of Hamtramck. Saginaw is at least 100 miles due North.
I must've been substituting Flint for Saginaw, 'cause on a map, yeah, about 100 miles.
Drove from Marshall to Saginaw a bunch of times, passing around Lansing, and probably got myself confused from that old experience, too.
