House Speaker John Boehner is being pressed by the conservative wing of the Republican Party not to allow a vote on major pieces of legislation -- from gun control to immigration -- without majority Republican support, after recent signals that he could be open to building a coalition with Democrats.

Tea Party favorite and second-term Rep. Tim Huelskamp is among the most recent to express concern, saying Tuesday that Boehner “assured us” that he'd seek a majority Republican coalition before proceeding on controversial bills.

Statement: We know what happens when an individual Sinator switches to another party.

Question: What happens when a majority speaker switches to another party?

Question: What happens when a majority speaker acts like he is in another party?

When one thinks of Bonehead, we all know that it can indeed get more stupid.

Question: does the Congressional House have the latitude to remove the speaker at any time? If so, it’s time they act.

Endless FReepathons
Do you Know Why?

There are loyal posters that donate every FReepathon. Some donate several times during every 'thon. But others never donate. Why?

1 My enemies haven't been zotted.
2 The owner doesn't support my candidate.
3 FR won't "upgrade" to "Like" buttons and blinky crap.
4 Someone else will donate.
5 My friend was zotted.
6 I lost my job and have no income.

Only one of those is a legitimate reason.

Support It Or Lose It

What do you mean “Could build a coalition with dems”. It seems like he has been doing that all along.

I’m sorry, but you likely couldn’t find in the DC environs a single male prostitute/gigolo who would be willing to “do” Senator Murkowski.

If you get majority of the House to go along, anything's possible. But I would expect the Dems and RINOs to rally behind Bonehead and block any such majority.

Is there no way to replace him? He certainly does not stand with the majority of Republicans.

And people said it was better to vote for this turd than let him flush down the toilet! At least with a rat as speaker you`d know where you stand and it would have sent a LOUD and CLEAR message to that party of sellouts, we are not taking this sh!t any more!

What I have noticed with the alcoholics I have known, admittedly few, they can put away what would put us out on the floor and seem unaffected. Not saying of course that Boehner is an alcoholic!
