Another CNN commentator says the FBI was particularly interested in the guy in tattered clothing running from the scene.
Who doesn’t look dark-skinned to me.

Syrians/Lebanese are not very dark-skinned, only dark haired. (NOT saying they are suspects, just observations) Iranians are not dark skinned, heck Afghanis are not always dark-skinned.
