Trudeau’s response to Boston Marathon Bombing was unacceptable, made ‘excuses’ for terrorists
National Post ^ | April 17, 2013 | Lee Berthiaume

Prime Minister Stephen Harper took a swipe at Justin Trudeau on Wednesday after the new Liberal leader talked about the need “to look at the root causes” that led to this week’s terrorist attack in Boston.

In an interview with the CBC’s Peter Mansbridge that aired Tuesday night, Trudeau was asked how he would have responded to the attacks that killed three people and left about 170 injured.

Trudeau said he would offer the American material support “and at the same time, over the coming days, we have to look at the root causes.”

“Now, we don’t know now if it was terrorism or a single crazy or a domestic issue or a foreign issue,” he said. “But there is no question that this happened because there is someone who feels completely excluded. Completely at war with innocents. At war with a society. And our approach has to be, where do those tensions come from?

“Yes, there’s a need for security and response,” Trudeau added. “But we also need to make sure that as we go forward, that we don’t emphasize a culture of fear and mistrust. Because that ends up marginalizing even further those who already are feeling like they are enemies of society.”

Speaking to reporters in London where he was attending former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher’s funeral on Wednesday, Harper indicated Trudeau’s answer was unacceptable.

“When you see this kind of action, when you see this kind of violent act, you do not sit around trying to rationalize it or make excuses for it or figure out its root causes,” Harper said.

Typical liberal A**hat! Boo hoo, what did the Americans do to force this poor sole to kill and maim them! We must understand them and change ourselves so that the poor sole is not upset with us. No Trudeau! There is only one thing to do with these people, to borrow from the Daleks - EXTERMINATE!

What I’m curious about is that nobody ever shows the slightest interest in trying to understand why Tim McVeigh felt excluded from American society.

Nobody cares about the grievances or feelings of white American racists in the 50s. Why did men who were otherwise often decent and honorable feel they had no choice but to fight against the spread of “civil rights” for all?

I’ve always thought there is a fascinating story there for a movie or play, but it’s one that will never be told.

Some groups with grievances must just be crushed, not understood.

Root causes...

We were on the slippery slope when we started excusing what inner city teenagers were doing.

Now we’ve advanced that to the global level.

Criminal acts, specifically terrorist attacks have no justification. End of story...

Root causes? A nut case set off two IED’s in a crowded event on a public street.

We don’t NEED any stinking “root causes”.

Did the Unabomber Ted Kaczynski need a “root cause”? Did the person who sent the anthrax-tainted letters to Tom Daschle or Pat Leahy need a “root cause”? How about the Ricin-laced mail sent to the Senator from Mississippi or the Current Occupant of the White Hut, was that in response to some “root cause”?

This was done in response to some totally bizarre notion that the runners at the Boston Marathon “deserved” to be punished just for being who and where they were.

Whether it was a lone person acting out a fantasy, or a conspiracy involving some alien ideology, it was still cuffing crazy.

Translation...Trudeau would have apologized to the moslem world just as Osama Obama will if it's determined that the Religion of Pieces was involved in any way.

And just FYI...anyone who hasn't read...a number of Boston news sources (I'm in Boston) were saying an hour or so ago that a "dark skinned male" is in custody. But later some are backing off that statement.I wonder if Osama's "Identity Politics" war room might in panic mode at this very moment trying to decide what to do.For all you Canadians...trust me,that's a distinct possibility with this crowd.

“Some groups with grievances must just be crushed, not understood”

When it comes to the Islamist agenda, that is the only solution.

Nope..it's worse than that."Crazy" can be caused by a brain disorder or something beyond the crazy person's control. The *true* believers in the Religion of Pieces are pure psychopaths, totally devoid of conscience.

Wasn’t McVeigh pissed about Waco?
Not an appropriate response, for sure, but talk about getting a pass for killing men, women and children by burning them alive....
Reno got a pass because she’s a woman, lib, dim and suspected lezbo...

The root causes are obvious. Some people are pure evil and need to be put down.

Amazing how these brain dead liberals seem to think that crimes have "roots." What a bizarre notion.
