By Pete Williams, Kristen Welker and Erin McClam, NBC News Federal agents on Wednesday arrested a suspect in the mailing of letters to President Barack Obama and a U.S. senator that initially tested positive for the poison ricin.

The suspect was identified as Kenneth Curtis of Tupelo, Miss., federal officials told NBC News.

Both letters carried an identical closing statement, according to an FBI bulletin obtained by NBC News on Wednesday.

According to the FBI bulletin, both letters, postmarked April 8, 2013 out of Memphis, Tenn., included an identical phrase, "to see a wrong and not expose it, is to become a silent partner to its continuance."

In addition, both letters are signed: "I am KC and I approve this message."

So what was the wrong he has issues with?

I was looking for a Facebook profile to see his interests and likes to get an idea where he stands on the issues. No luck yet.

Yup! Finally. Ricin has been manufactured by a white supremacist, previously. Not to mention a Bulgarian assassin with an umbrella.

Obviously we need to outlaw Mail.

That'll never happen.

It's from Castor Beans. One of the most trivial deadly substances to produce. You don't exactly need a chemical weapons lab and a PhD. It's actually more complicated to make Meth and plenty of Good 'ol Boys do that.

Though as another poster mentioned I would not be surprised that further testing reveals it's not actually Ricin - testing for it accurately is much harder than making it, and there are a lot of false positives.

Had to get the white guy out there with lots of media focusing on how evil and scary he is and how he is tied to these right-wing groups and some evangelical church-going Deacon......blah, blah, blah!

Then tomorrow or better yet, late Friday, announce that those two suspects in the Boston bombings are "home-grown Muslims living in Boston!"

I think part of the FBI questioning should be how he got a letter postmarked April 8th delivered so quickly.

So what was the wrong he has issues with?

Wicker was in one group of Republicans who voted for a cloture vote (an early gun control vote) that most Republicans and conservatives opposed. And certainly the Dims who got the letters would have voted for cloture.

Sixteen Republican Senators Vote For Cloture On Gun Control Bill

The envelopes were mailed before that vote, but the Wicker might have stated his intentions beforehand. That's a vote from Wicker that surprised some.

Then again, that might not be related.

Tupelo is where the American Family Association is based. I listen to their radio station AFR all the time.

They are listed as a hate group by the commie pervs at the Southern Poverty Law Center. I wouldn’t put it past them to try and link this guy to AFA.

My first thought! Hard to believe, but early in his acting career he played semi-hearthrobs in horse operas. I always liked ol’ Festus.....
