AFAIK, there is no “zoning” in Texas

I do know there is no zoning in Houston. I have no idea if there is in the rest of Texas.

Zoning, is, of course a bit of a dirty word around here - you have people that believe they have the absolute right to do or build anything on property they own.

Of course, the minute someone ELSE does or builds something they don't like anywhere near their property, they turn into massive hypocrites.

Some cities don’t have zoning but many do.

There is zoning where I live in Waco..zoning in Dallas..and suburbs.

It’s determined by individual cities; not state-wide.

Dallas definitely has zoning. I think it makes Dallas a nicer city.
