They stopped the color coded warning system, and then they knew a hit was on and never warned anyone.

Absolutely they knew it was coming. The added security, the swat teams in the hotel lobbies, and then they cancelled symphony and the sports events. They expected more. There were probably more bombs that failed to detonate but we'll never hear about them!
Now they're getting everybody tracking down the wrong people who are being ID'd in those pictures. That gives the real perps the opportunity to escape. Heck, they'll probably fly back to Saudi Arabia or Yemin on the same airplane with the little prince who is being deported. Thank you Obama.
