the medium is the message.

attacking drudge is like attacking lightbulbs for putting out light.

this does confirm that homosexuals are ALWAYS an intelligence liability.

I guess if Matthews, Morgan and Maddow are your primary source of information, Drudge could freak you out.

Since when did the left get to define “credible” as “conducive to furthering our agenda”?

“I will tell you we found it so inherently unbelievable that statements would be made, it was hard to ascribe credibility to them,” Napolitano said, suppressing a bemused smile. “I don’t know if I’d put Forbes and Drudge in the same sentence.”

Yeah, because DRUDGE IS LYING WHEN HE POSTS URLS TO NEWS STORIES... er.... I mean... ummm... he's ... uhhhh.. HE POSTS THE WRONG LINKS, with typos and everything.

Freakin moron Napalitano.

Lets see now, Drudge Report normally links to MSM sources.... About the only things I remember Drudge himself breaking MSM silence on was Pres. Bjll Clinton and Monica, and something else huge, otherwise it is all validated in the regular media.

She does not like the new media.

You can’t buy them off like the old media. (drugs, prostitiutes, booze, fancy insider party invitations). There is just too many of them.

The article inserted the straw man word “unprecedented” when debunking that portion of the story.

Yes, they are law enforcement agencies and need ammo. Not shocking. The Breitbart article was debunking the idea that DHS was buying some unusual or scary amount of ammo - which had led to a rash of dopey conspiracy theories (particularly at places like InfoWars). In the information age we are in, news, even the most blatantly nonsensical, spreads like wildfire and tends to feed the imagination of the deranged and conspiratorial folks. DHS has a responsibility to debunk this stuff as soon as they see it. Napolitano was wrong not to do so, and is an idiot for acting surprised that people believed silly claims on the internet.

“Anyone can read the requests and see for themselves. You can even sign up for automatic notifications of solicitations for products described by keywords that you select. If DHS requests quotations for 250 million 9mm bullets, it can be assumed that they will eventually select a supplier and place the order.”

There are a good many alleged freepers here only too happy to angrily shout you down on this and they totally believe Big Media at their leisure and convenience.

Apologies for the multiple posts.

I kept getting some weird error telling me to resubmit the page.

Almost glad to see it multiple times, as I’ve been shouted down here by people anxious to believe what the media tells them about the story.

Here’s the error, happening again:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teflon-coated_bullet

That’s what good newspapers use to do - they’d clear up the confusion. Really, we need more answers...

From the above link:

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

In 1982, NBC ran a television special on the bullets, supposedly against the requests of many police organizations, wherein it was argued that the bullets were a threat to police. Various gun control organizations in the U.S. labeled Teflon-coated bullets with the epithet “cop killers” because of the supposedly increased penetration the bullets offered against ballistic vests, a staple of the American police uniform. Many erroneously focused on the Teflon coating as the source of the bullets’ supposedly increased penetration, rather than the hardness of the metals used. A common resulting misconception, often perpetuated in film and television, is that coating otherwise normal bullets with Teflon will give them armor-piercing capabilities. In reality, as noted above, Teflon and similar coatings were used primarily as a means to protect the gun barrel from the hardened brass bullet, and, secondarily, to reduce ricochet against hard, angled surfaces. The coating itself did not add any armor-piercing abilities to bullets under normal circumstances.

Several of the various calibers of KTW rounds produced could, in fact, penetrate police vests, under certain conditions. However, as Kopsch pointed out in a 1990 interview, “adding a Teflon coating to the round added 20% penetration power on metal and glass. Critics kept complaining about Teflon’s ability to penetrate body armor... In fact, Teflon cut down on the round’s ability to cut through the nylon or Kevlar of body armor.” [2]

I would speculate that the internet is the single biggest obstacle to the completion of the Police State.

Sotomayor is not a lesbian....nor was she particularly ugly as a young woman.

Kagan maybe...but she might just have been a homely Jewish old maid.

She doesn’t seem to hate men...she is most social with Scalia on the court...hunts with him if you can believe that

I would think in this Gay is God age that were she a homosexual it would be crowed about.

Souter...I think he likely was...a quiet one.

Napolitano...sure looks and acts like one

[Yeah, because DRUDGE IS LYING WHEN HE POSTS URLS TO NEWS STORIES... er.... I mean... ummm... he's ... uhhhh...]

LOL, it hasn't been long since they were ranting about Drudge;

During a conversation with POLITICO’s Mike Allen Wednesday, White House Senior Advisor Dan Pfeiffer criticized what he sees as the media’s “Pavlovian response” to controversial links posted on conservative news aggregator The Drudge Report. Pfeiffer also argued that the site actively “hurts” the White House’s efforts to convey their message “on a daily basis.”
