It has better end it. The problems are immigration of unstable, Godless people into this country which HAS to be stopped and unstable, mentally ill people who are allowed to roam our streets instead of being institutionalized. Those ARE the main problems, not guns.
The fundamental problem is fuzzy-thinking, functionally stupid "Liberals", overwhelmed by Western decadence, who prefer their illusions to reality, can't get off the "Liberal" bandwagon and think for themselves, and put the rest of us--our children--and our nation--in danger. I'm sure you agree but decided to state the obvious.
The problem is that once you allow government the power to declare who is, and is not, "mentally ill", with grave consequences for the determination, you get MASSIVE issues once corruption, injustice, incompetence, and politicization gets involved in the process... which would take all of about a month to begin.
Look at Child Protective Services right now. Half the time, they remove a child from a home improperly. The other half, the fail to rescue a child just before really bad things happen. They score very, very few "victories", and can never know when they did their job perfectly (which I would define as removing a child just before something really bad happens... because how would they know that it was about to?? We don't have a Pre-Crime Division... yet...).
Having a Mental Health Adequacy Department would be far worse, on may levels. Especially once you realize that most on the Left look at most on the Right as if they are deranged, and most on the Right look at most on the Left as if their political beliefs are more like a zealous cult religion than a political philosophy (which I do, LOL).
