Several come for DOT physicals. It is somewhat surprising when I have them lift up their shirts to listen to their chest that they always have their dagger tucked neatly into their belt.
It is one of the 5 "K"s. That they carry a dagger to defend against injustice, like if they see someone being robbed, they are to use it to scare off the attacker. Not to be used in offense.
