Marco Rubio Called Out For “Lying Like Democrats” About Immigration
Freedom Outpost ^ | Apr. 20, 2013 | Tim Brown

Posted on 04/20/2013 1:27:00 PM PDT by EXCH54FE

On Wednesday, author Ann Coulter blasted Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) for his support of the immigration reform bill which is being put forth by the “Gang of Eight” that he is a part of. Her headline was classic Coulter, “IF RUBIO’S AMNESTY IS SO GREAT, WHY IS HE LYING?”. In it, she proceeds to expose the obvious problems with the Florida Senator’s proposed immigration legislation.

“When Republicans start lying like Democrats, you can guess they are pushing an idea that’s bad for America,” the conservative author wrote. “During his William Ginsburg-like tour of the Sunday talk shows last weekend, Sen. Marco Rubio was the Mount Vesuvius of lies about his immigration bill.”

Coulter pointed to Rubio’s appearance on Fox News Sunday, in which he explained the powerful border-enforcing mechanism, which he denied was merely a meaningless goal. He said, “Basically, Homeland Security will have five years to meet that goal. If after five years, Homeland Security has not met that number, it will trigger the Border Commission, who will then take over this issue for them.”

Coulter then sarcastically commented, “So the water torture awaiting the Department of Homeland Security if it fails to secure the border is … ANOTHER GOVERNMENT COMMISSION WILL BE CREATED! Take that, Homeland Security! Ha — we have you now! The only thing more frightening than ‘another government commission’ is a ‘strongly worded letter.’”

Marco is such an ass-kisser he has yet to realize that the Bush crime family have played him for a chump. Jeb will be on the laraza ticket in 2016 not the little cubano pool boy!

”Change” doesn’t come from ”trying” - that’s a kindergarten point of view based on not knowing, and refusing to know, because it’s easier to project and make up stories that there is such a thing as ”Hispanics” and that they can be won over by anyone ”speaking Spanish”.

Just imagine, if you have an imagination, a group of American atheists from NYC living in a foreign country, and another American also living there is a pentecostal minister from Georgia - and that the people of the foreign country think that ”Americans” living there will follow the suggestions of Reverend Jedediah because he’s speaking to them ”in English”.

To throw terms like treason around loosely will water down the term when it is real and needed.

If not now, when? If not us, who?

OK you condescending bastard, then you imagine if we took those Mexicans living in a foreign country (the USA) loaded them up in trucks and hauled them to the border and released them...

Would they then follow our suggestion?

You fix it, I really have no interest in the issue.

Since you have no interest, and evidently little knowledge on this topic, one wonders why you opined in the first place.

Oh, that I can answer:

It’s only gringos who think that...blah blah blah...

Because you appear to be a "hispanic" racist, an America-hating Mexicanocentric propagandist.

Thank you for asking that question.

Then say that, instead of offering paint-by-numbers opinions that have no relationship to facts.
Your perception could not be more wrong. Because I am informed about Latin American history and culture and have experience with the many ethnic groups that are of Latin American origin does not mean I am pro anything. You were making up a story about Rubio that has no basis in fact, and I was telling you that only people who are not of that culture and know nothing about it believe that Spanish-speakers are interchangeable, and that language trumps political, ethnic and regional.differences. The word ”gringo” is convenient, commonly used shorthand for saying non-Latino outsider.
How you derived that I hate America is mystifying to me. I think we should deport each and every illegal here. The idea of a ”Hispanic” vote is ridiculous, pandering to ethnicities is a moral and tactical error, and no white-looking anti-Castro Cuban will ever be able to make headway with Mexican-Americans, Colombians, Puerto Ricans, etc.

Then say that

I did, several times. You're the one that changed the subject.

The word ”gringo” is convenient, commonly used shorthand for saying non-Latino outsider.

The word "gringo" is a derogatory term for Americans.

No, it isn’t derogatory - I use it to describe myself when asked if I have Spanish antecedents - I say, ”no, soy gringa pura” - and it doesn’t refer exclusively to Americans. It means white non-Latin American.

Sorry, dictionary is outdated and wrong. This is vernacular, which.changes with.common usage. And you are seizing on this dictionary definition, which was a detail in our discussion, to avoid admitting that you were completely uninformed and incorrect in your initial assertion of the assumption that ”Hispanic” is a generic condition, identity, culture, state of mind that can be effectively addressed by anyone with the sole qualification of membership in this group identity.
I responded by telling you that the concept of there being such a thing as ”Hispanic” is bogus, that ”speaking in Spanish” is not some kind if master key to win over diverse ethnic and political communities that have no connection other than the Spanish language; and that only gringos - i.e. uninformed outsiders - think that.
From this you construed that I am anti-American and Mexican-centric.
You had no idea what you were talking about you clearly don’t want to know, and in your ignorance you chose.to cast my expertise about the enemy as collaboration with them. And, to use another well-known word of the Mexican vernacular, it was such a macho reaction.

I told you I have no interest. I’ll continue to be comfortable in my “ignorance” as long as you Hispanics stay down there and leave us the hell alone.

I also told you I’m leaving it up to you to fix the problem. If it can be done, you can obviously handle it.

I don’t care if you speak to them in Greek (gringo-speak) Mayan, Swahili, or Pig Latin. I don’t care if you get the government to put a $100 a head bounty on them and let the citizens round them up.

Just quit beating your chest about how smart and superior you are and FIX THE FRIGGING PROBLEM....whatever it is you perceive it to be.

Goodbye and Happy Cinco de Mayo

I am not Hispanic. I am informed about Latin American history and culture. I suppose that could seem like a boast to someone who despite having no knowledge in this area wanted to spout half-baked ideas, and was resentful when they were exposed as baseless.

Yes, I do speak Spanish - which is why people from Latin America often ask me if I have Spanish antecedents, and are surprised to learn that I don’t. My American parents spoke several languages.

Close enough!

As far as the PC crowd is concerned...you're "Hispanic". So, what part of Spain are you from anyway?

Yes, I do speak Spanish

So, what's the value of that, dining with famous Mexican scientists, mathematical geniuses, ordering properly at Taco Bell...or does it simply allow you to communicate with wetbacks?

Speaking of which, regarding "the problem"...how far along are you with solving it?
