In all fairness the LEOs were doing what they were supposed to do - protecting the people from a rampaging bomb-throwing lunatic terrorist. That support would probably evaporate if the same LEOs were kicking in doors looking for contraband weapons, even in Mass.

Yeah, it's great to know that attending a marathon will always be safe. They've come a long way, to be able to protect the people.
