Immigration a hot button after Boston bombing

As Washington lawmakers react to the unfolding events in the Boston bombing investigation, a handful of senators involved in immigration reform debated whether the attack should impact the legislative efforts.

"Given the events of this week, it's important for us to understand the gaps and loopholes in our immigration system," Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said in an immigration hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee. Grassley is the top Republican on the committee, which is starting to review the comprehensive immigration reform bill drafted by a bipartisan team of eight senators.

"While we don't yet know the immigration status of the people who have terrorized the communities in Massachusetts, when we find out, it will help shed light on the weaknesses of our system," Grassley continued. "How can individuals evade authorities and plan such attacks on our soil? How can we beef up security checks on people who wish to enter the U.S.? How do we ensure that people who wish to do us harm are not eligible for benefits under the immigration laws, including this new bill before us?"

Yes, how about we severely limit immigration from countries whose populations want to kill us? I know, call me a bigot but I’m just not so tolerant of people who want to kill me.

“How can individuals evade authorities and plan such attacks on our soil?...” Quote of Sen.Grassley.

It’s called freedom. Supposedly that is the reason immigrants come to this nation.

What we, as a nation, fail to accomplish is weeding out those people who should not be allowed to immigrate.

I will not vote for any politicain, regardless of political party that votes for the current imigation bill. These illegal immigrants should and can mever be allowed to become citizens or vote. Registered ID Guest workers, yes!!! that’s it. The progressive income tax should be abolished and anyone and everyone that buys goods or services should pay a value added tax. That forces anyone who lives in the USA to automatically pay taxes.

The gap is A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WHICH REFUSES TO ENFORCE THE LAW. Got it Grassley? Get it through your thick head.

Our streets are becoming bloody battlegrounds of bombs and gun battles between heavily armed police and federal agents against likewise heavily armed foreign drug gangs and Islamic terrorists!! For crying out loud, secure the borders!! Tighten up immigration policy!! Enforce the law before America becomes Beirut!! Ooops, too late.

IMMIGRATION REFORM IS THE GATEWAY TO TERRORISM The Big Lie is that the bulk of border-crossers are Mexican----BUT we know Mexico is the staging area for all of the Third World freeloaders---that includes global terrorists bent on destroying America. Terrorists from Mideast countries are entering the US from Mexico......their swarthiness gives them a pass to masquerade as Mexican illegals

The Mexican border has become the staging area for (1) global terrorists (swarthy Mideasterners who pass for Mexicans), (2) the criminal latino uderworld, (3) Third World lowlifes, (4) drug cartels, (5) impoverished latinos hoping to win the "border lottery" in the US and the like.

US politicans are looking the other way. The word is out---"come to Mexico to infiltrate the US. It's open season to conduct your dirty deeds."

====================================================

Mexican drug cartels swarming into the US (read below) already have financial arrangements with Hamas and Hezbollah, and will be empowered to expand those partnerships via The Schumer-Rubio amnesty bill. It’s a small step from blanketing America w/ marijuana and heroin to aiding and abetting Hezbollah operatives. To these hardened criminal, the profit motive rules, no matter the source.

REFERENCE---NY POST EXCERPT--- Mexican cartels dispatch agents deep inside US - spread into non-border states

CHICAGO (AP) — Mexican drug cartels whose operatives once rarely ventured beyond the US border are dispatching some of their most trusted agents to live and work deep inside the United States — an emboldened presence that experts believe is meant to tighten their grip on the world's most lucrative narcotics market and maximize profits. If left unchecked, authorities say, the cartels' move into the American interior could render the syndicates harder than ever to dislodge and pave the way for them to expand into other criminal enterprises such as prostitution, kidnapping-and-extortion rackets and money laundering.

Some cartels even have Mexican operatives fill out job applications before being dispatched to the US, Riley added.

In Mexico, the cartels are known for a staggering number of killings — more than 50,000, according to one tally. Beheadings are sometimes a signature. So far, cartels don't appear to be directly responsible for large numbers of slayings in the United States, though the Texas Department of Public Safety reported 22 killings and five kidnappings in Texas at the hands of Mexican cartels from 2010 through mid- 2011. Still, police worry that increased cartel activity could fuel heightened violence.--SNIP--

In Chicago, the police commander who oversees narcotics investigations, James O'Grady, said street-gang disputes over turf account for most of the city's uptick in murders last year, when slayings topped 500 for the first time since 2008.

Although the cartels aren't dictating the territorial wars, they are the source of drugs. Riley's assessment is stark: He argues that the cartels should be seen as an underlying cause of Chicago's disturbingly high murder rate. "They are the puppeteers," he said. "Maybe the shooter didn't know and maybe the victim didn't know that. But if you follow it down the line, the cartels are ultimately responsible."

Our "leaders" and popular culture have made it heresy to even speak of toughening, or even re-evaluating, the standards for those who would immigrate into our country.

Utterly perverse. Insane.

The 8 Gangstas’ bill should be called the More Terrorists, More Poverty Act. Anything else is just BS.

Government can’t protect us from radicalized terrorist. The FBI failed to detect any association with a suspect that they monitored just two years ago. The authorities were stumped, and had to release grainy photo’s. A car jacking suspect, and a man who went to check on his boat solved this crime, and both were very lucky to have lived, even the authorities admit this. I’m not saying they do a poor job, when criminals do something stupid sometimes they do catch them, but citizens can’t wait for government, they must be able to protect themselves. I have seen no better argument for defeating gun control efforts, and for enforcing Immigration law, than what we have seen in the last week.

The biggest gap in our system is between the ears of Janet Napolitano.

We need to close the borders.

Close them to illegals and close them to drugs,

We need to secure our borders and enforce our immigration laws. I think that a sizable group jihadi terrorists can sneak across our borders or simply disappear after their visas expire. The proposed immigration reforms are a dangerous amnesty proposed by people who either want to benefit politically or financially. The proponents of this “reform” do not have the best interests of the American people in mind.

Dear Senator Grassley,

It’s really very simple.

Wait.

Wait.

Wait.

Timing is everything.

Wait until you have the Senate and you control the amendment flow.

Sure there’s plenty that needs be done on Immigration Reform.

BUT NOT NOW.
