I started getting facials from Zubeidat Tsarnaeva (pronounced Zu-bey-da) six years ago when I was 17 at a spa in the Boston area. She soon after left the spa and contacted my mom to have us start coming to her house, at 410 Norfolk St., right on the line of Cambridge and Watertown.
All throughout my senior year of high school and four years of college I went to her house about three times a year. The last time I went to the house was in December and January of 2011/2012.
The first few years the third-floor apartment was often crowded with her two sons, now identified as the alleged Boston bombers, and her two daughters, one of which was around my age. It was definitely not a glamorous place to get a facial, as the “spa” was set up in her living room, and during these years the family expanded.

Did any of these people who knew them bother to call the police once their pictures had been published?
There’s little doubt SOMEONE helped police figure out who they were after the pics were released. Many people had to know them. The police seemed not to. Then they became the subjects of police pursuit. SOMEONE tipped the cops. Basic common sense. Not rocket science.
These tips are confidential, as to WHO is the identity of the tipster.

Well, in defense of all that - when the pics were FIRST published, they were a bit blurry. You may recall all the speculation, even right here on FR... everyone here thought one of the bombers was this missing Che Guevera-loving Brown student from Pennsylvania.
It wasn’t until really late on Friday that we had clearer photographs going around. I can’t recall when the real names came out, but it wasn’t THAT long ago all things considered.
It’s early Sunday AM on the east coast. Like the above post says - certainly some people must have stepped forward.. and I’m sure this particular woman has talked to the FBI (etc) by now... and this is a fairly lengthy report.
OK, not “everyone’, but many. Including me!

It couldn’t have been too many, if any, because 24 hours later these guys were still on the loose and they only got caught by accident.

Not a great writer. It would be nice if she explained what a facial is.
...and I hope that any knowledge I have shared about the family can help investigators get to the bottom of these terrorist actions and not cause any further harm.

Interesting mug shot.
The article mentioned that she’d put on a hajib when she’d leave the apartment to attach a visitor parking sticker. So is that a hajib she’s wearing in the mug shot? Obviously if that’s the case they made her remove the head garb part - some of you may remember reports of controversy over driver’s license photos for observant female muslims.
And if she was wearing a hajib, it would be interesting to know if it played any part in her crime - did she try to lift merchandise in a bag she was carrying, or in a bag she was wearing?
Around 2:45 on Friday morning I turned on the tv and then I was watching the twitter feed. Apparently, the Boston PD announced two suspects’ names on their scanner which were NOT these brothers. I watched until 5 am...went back to bed. When I got up at 7, I was shocked. The suspects were two entirely different people. I personally think that once they killed Suspect #1 and took him to the hospital, he was able to be positively identified. That’s when they really knew who they were dealing with. Since he was an immigrant, they probably had his fingerprints in their system. I still think if he hadn’t died, they wouldn’t have known who they were looking for at that time and still may have been looking for those other two guys....I haven’t heard about this at all in the media. BUT that’s what I read during the night. It may be that the FBI just got lucky!
Since the FBI had interviewed Tamarlan, wouldn’t it be possible that they had a file and photo relating to him? And if so, his identity could be found pretty quickly with a face matching app.

The photos/videos were released late Thursday afternoon. A few HOURS later one of the perps was dead, the other wounded and hiding, leading to 24 hours of terror for Boston and surrounds until they found him cowering in a boat.
Those guys were IDd almost immediately.
If she’s lying around “half naked” as she mentions in the article, it sounds like she was undergoing more than a facial - maybe a massage?
Speaking of the headjob or hatejibb or whatever, does it seem to anyone that this family was settling in, and then, very quickly, CAME UNDER THE INFLUENCE of a real muzzie head-case cleric?
I say find the black-clad a-hole cleric, and hang him up to dry.
If they were treated as they treat others, torture and public beheading are pro-forma.
