News cameras got a chance to catch up with the Boston Marathon bombers' uncle, Ruslan Tsarni, in an incredible interview that can be found here.
The first thing that we notice is that he looks as we Americans feel -- shaken and angry. He begins the interview by expressing condolences for those murdered and injured in the attacks. "I've been following this from day one, but would have never ever imagined that somehow, the children of my brother would be associated with that. ... This family does not know how to share their grief with the real victims" (emphasis implied).
He was then asked a question about what might have provoked this attack. His answer is pretty profound.
What does he think caused them to do it? "Being losers," he replies after a moment's pause. "Hatred for those who were able to settle themselves. These are the only reasons I can imagine of."
But Tsarni knows the implication of the question, and he answers it with conviction.
After expressing the shame he feels for his family association with these attackers, he doubles down on why he really thinks his nephews bombed the Boston Marathon. "What I think was behind it, being losers. Not being able to settle themselves. And thereby just hating everyone who did."
I teach my children, and that's what I feel myself. This is the ideal micro-world in the entire world. I respect this country, I love this country. This country, which gives chance to everybody else to be treated as a human being. That is what I feel about this country.
This man could not be more American. I don't care where he comes from, how much money he makes, or what God he worships. And he is right: that is what makes America great.

In the face of murder and mahem, did anyone expect him to applaud his foreign relatives in public on camera?
He could have said no comment, and that would have been that. For him to say something like this takes a bit of courage - Chechen culture is honor-based (think Bugsy Siegel or Tommy DeSimone), which is another way of saying that anyone who sullies a Chechen's reputation in public (by calling his kids a loser, for instance) is asking to be killed. If he had emitted some generic pablum about Islam being a religion of peace and expressed sorrow for the victims, that one thing. He called his nephews jealous losers who brought shame to the family. The relatives of a lot of American mass killers don't say this kind of thing. The mother of the Borat brothers is not safe in Dagestan, Russia - the Russian security services are said to routinely assassinate Islamists they consider to be problems.
While it is impossible to know what is in the hearts of someone like this man, everything we KNOW about Islam tells us they will lie about anything so it is hard to take the uncle’s comments without some skepticism.
A fact which cannot be disputed by any honest person is the USA would be a better place without Muslims and they do not contribute anything to the betterment of this country.
We live in a country which has lost many of its freedoms because of these vermin.
A free society can never exist unless it is free of Islam.
There you go speaking facts again. Don’t do that. It upsets a lot of ‘conservatives’ lately.
I get that some people here want to believe the Bush meme about ‘good muslims’ But there are none. Their book precludes ‘goodness’ in them. And the sooner gullable westerners get over their reluctance to ascribe evil to it’s source, the better for us all.
This one Muslim may be an asset to us. As a group they are a huge net negative to any Western society that takes them in.
That is all that matters. Too bad for the good few but we have to take care of our own first - that we have forgotten that is our society’s mortal weakness.
This reminds me of how homosexuality went from being illegal and shameful to a constitutional right to marry all because of AIDS.

Thanks for posting this. I don’t believe this man. The Muslim practice of taqiyya permits lying to further the cause of Jihad. When I first saw this guy, my instinctive gut reaction was just this, taqiyya. He apparently is very good at it. Disarms us, makes us think he is one of us, meanwhile he is protecting those of his fellow religionists in Jihad. I hope I’m wrong with respect to this fellow, but will continue to be extreme wary.

Did ya think the uncle would stand in front of the American public on camera and applaud his murdering relatives while chanting death to American devils?
