There’s more appreciation for this legendary saint in Georgia than modern day England. It’s a nice idea, but the government can hardly fit another holiday onto the calender, what with “LGBTQRXZ Awareness Day” and “Hug A Hijab Day” and “Pedophilia Sensitivity Day” in the works. I mean, who has to time to celebrate heritage with all the persecuted minorities who we need to make feel special?
Fortunately, the good St George got around a lot. He is revered by a great many people, including curiously, muslims.
