Imagine, if during past wars, we used terms such as “Radical Nazism,” “Extremist Shinto” and “Militant Communism.” The implication would be that there are good versions

Actually, when we were at war with Germany, we did customarily refer to the enemy as Nazis when the enemy was the German people in Germany who enabled the Nazis and fought Hitler's war of conquest.

We did it so as not to offend the many people on our side, of German descent, and to focus on the evil party that had taken over Germany. We didn't want to offend any good Germans anywhere.

That was before the phrase "good German" took on its current meaning.

Good muslims would be no different.

I'm starting to wonder about good Americans too, specifically those who support the American government that now supports abortion, welfare moochers, foreign invaders, terror organizations abroad, obamacare...need I go on?

We are fighting an asymmetric war. An ideology has openly declared war on the USA, wants to overthrow the government, and see as many Americans dead as possible. Once all the white-devil-infidels are dead and gone, peace will be attained, in their view.

So what do we do when an ideology, not a nation/state, declares war on us? Lay back and take it like a compliant rape victim? Not me!

Perhaps some masterminds like Lindsey "I Know Everything About Terror Law" Graham comes up with a blend of the RICO Laws and the War Powers Act so that we can truly mobilize to bring down those who have declared was on us.

The effort will be worthwhile.

At some point during the Cold War, I seem to recall the term: Militant Communism or something quite similar being used.

Now,this may have been during my liberal phase or something that hit me as strange as I was waking up and it may have been an experimental term being tried out by our domestic communists, but it is only a vague memory at this point.

Anyone else recall this?
