The Toronto imam who first brought forward concerns about one of the suspects in the alleged al-Qaeda-linked train plot wants to remain anonymous If he wants to be anonymous I'd say they already revealed too much.

Actually, US counter-terrorism agencies should do this a lot. That is, attribute terrorism busts to “information received” by anonymous Muslims who peach on the radicals.
Eventually start imagining the giving of rewards to them as well. “A concerned Imam who wishes to remain anonymous gave information leading to the apprehension of several individuals involved in a plot. For this he has been given a $10,000 reward.”
