Whatever. Magazines are simple to fabricate. I look forward to paying cash for US produced steel mags from private sellers. The surplus ammo will dry up eventually and be replaced by commercial or home produced ammo anyway. What bothers me is, IF he does this it is a step down a very dangerous path, because there is no rational justification for it other than to put the populace at the mercy of federal forces. No other purpose whatsoever.
Looking back over the past 30 years of my work life, I can't remember anyone I knew being unemployed for any significant period of time, except for career changes.
I've been laid off twice in the past four years. Several members of our extended family are unemployed. Several of my friends have been unemployed, and many of my neighbors have been unemployed --some for years. The rate must be at least 15%

The '68 Gun Control Act gives ATF import/export oversight with regard to guns, ammo and certain accessories. The President really doesn't even need an executive order to do this (though Obama will use one to score political points with his supporters). The controls are already in the law, all he needs to do is call the BATF(E) administrator and direct him to exert the agency's authority in such a way to accomplish his goals.
If this is correct (and Rawles is usually fairly reliable), we've seen the last of the cheap 7.62x39 ammo and AK magazines (just two obvious examples). There might be some shipments already stateside that haven't made it out to retailers yet, but the prices sure won't be going anywhere but up.

Congress doesn’t seem to have noticed yet. When they do, maybe something will happen.
Right now some Congress critters are fixated on the lies of Hillary Clinton, others on immigration ‘reform’, and still others on the fast and loose handling of deportations of “person’s of interest”.
John Boehner is an incompetent as Speaker and can’t get his troops in order.
