It's possible that that's true.Rush claims that OsamaObama wanted gun control to fail *in the House* so that voters would punish GOP candidates in ‘14.That's certainly a plausible scenario...an attempt to keep the Senate and take the House next year and then...pedal to the metal.It's possible that amnesty is part of the same plan.If his plan succeeds we'll surely get both...and more...in ‘15/’16.

EXACTLY. The Senate bill was DOA in the House. Not even close. Pelosi would have been lucky to get 60% of her caucus to support it.

EVERYONE knew that. So why such a strong and emotional push in the Senate, if it was doomed from the start?
