HAMILTON
A store owner shot and killed a man attempting to rob his Main Street business Saturday.
Hamilton police officers responded to Mazagan Urban Ware, 201 Main St., at 8:34 p.m. on a report of a robbery attempt that ended when the owner shot the suspect, according to a news release from the Hamilton Police Department. When police and fire units arrived at the clothing store, they found the robbery suspect lying outside the store with an apparent gunshot wound, the news release said.
The suspect, Jeremy Scott Irvin, 26, of Fairfield, was transported to Fort Hamilton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No charges are pending against the store owner, Smail Gueddari, who opened Mazagan Urban Ware in 2011.
Anybody in my place would have done what I do, Gueddari said on Monday.

Muslim terrorists many times are under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol when they go out on jihad.
Yeah, but this one was also acting under the misapprehension that the store owner wasn’t armed.
Leftists, Muzzies, and street thugs all seem to have that in common!
Hope the store owner had the presence of mind to get some cellphone snaps of the dead perp.
Then load them on Facebook captioned “Tell your friends”.
I do think that under many circumstances paramedics should be able to legally declare: “Yes this was a human, and yes, they are dead.” While doctors are firm believers that only doctors can declare death, many is the time when it is so obvious that it is just a waste of money to transport to a hospital instead of just calling the Coroner.
I think it all began with a British court case from long ago, in which a police officer had discovered a dead man on a bridge, and testified to that effect. In immediate cross examination, he was asked, “Are you a doctor? What medical training do you have to determine when someone is dead?”
So rephrasing his answer, the cop said, “I discovered that the ‘is lordship ‘ad been interfered with.”
“In what way?”, asked the Barrister.
“I determined that ‘is ‘ead was about 10 feet from is shoulders, give or take”, the policeman replied.
