The Norquist propaganda machine is on hi speed!

"People are an asset, not a liability. The Senate's immigration bill would reduce America's deficit and should be passed soon"

IF that were the case, the 20 million plus anchor babies should have saved us from this recession. And the places the aliens left would not be 3rd world dumps.

GROVER NORQUIST is a liar and is doing the bidding of his corporate masters. He's a lobbyist writing law. THAT is what your senate is allowing.

One more item you need to be aware of.

The State Dept gave refugee status to the bombers family, probably through USAID, and WHO worked for them....

[snip]Without a doubt, Grover Norquist’s team has infiltrated USAID’s lucrative contract whirl.

In April of 2005, the respected scholar Daniel Pipes asked “Is Grover Norquist an Islamist?” Grover’s November 2004 marriage to the Muslim Samah Alrayyes reveals an insider at USAID in the Bush years. Samah Norquist’s bio is an indictment of Grover Norquist’s designs on USAID contract information. Samah was the Public Affairs Specialist for Arab and Muslim outreach at the Bureau of Legislative and Public Affairs at USAID....

In her position, she works on developing and implementing communications and public affairs planning with regard to various Muslim and Arab outreach issues including USAID activites in Iraq, Afghanistan, Middle and Near East and many parts of the Muslim world where AID is present. This includes serving as a liaison with Muslim and Arab American interest groups to brief them on USAID activities in the developing world and coordination of the Agency’s participation in events, conferences, and discussions designed to educate the publics about American foreign assistance.

Notably, Samah Norquist served on the board of the Islamic Free Enterprise Institute along with Khaled Saffuri. And for those, like Cleta Mitchell, who are willfully blind to the activities of Grover Norquist on the Shariah Compliant front and possible connections with Muslim Brotherhood operations in the tiers of the non-profit industry, it should be noted that a third operative of the Alamoudi stripe has made it big in the world of USAID.

Grover Norquist is a no-brainer. His utility is over. He is now an Islamist because of his pee-pee. Good for him. Sucks to be us, if we listen.

People are an asset, not a liability.

Not when they're leeching off taxpayer-funded social services, Groveller Norquisling.

People are an asset, not a liability.

Even if true in many cases it is certainly not a universal truth. For example see the Boston Marathon bombers.

Now if we were to have an immigration program which tried to find those who would be assets to the country and reject those who would be a liability, including any family immigration, then that might be a good plan to start with. On the other hand those who are most likely to be assets are those most likely to become Republicans, and the Dems pushing for immigration reform don't want that. They want people who will pickup their welfare checks and check off Dems in the election.

(1) When is the treatment of American citizens in Mexico and their rights vs US treatment of Mexicans going to be an issue when we discuss amnesty ? And two other questions US legislators should ask

Here are three questions:that has yet to appear on any US legislator’s questionaire from either chamber

ASK YOUR FEDERAL LEGISLATORS WHY IT HASN’T

Issue One

!...Should Mexican citizens when in the US be given the same rights American citizens are given while in Mexico? .......

2.. The Mexican government through public statements and educational system lays claims to major portions or to all of some of our southwestern states as part of the Mexican nation. Are we asking for trouble by granting their illegals an expressed path to our citizenship laying the groundwork for “squatters rights” at some future date ?

3... If it is deemed necessary to supplement the US labor force by allowing itinerant labor should the individual states make the determiniation as to the number should the offer being needed ? And should that offer not be restricted simply to Mexican nationals but to other central and south American countries as well ? Why should Mexican nationals eat up their quota ?

Issue

Grover doing a pro-amnesty article in what is arguably the furthest-left newspaper in the civilized world. That's the Trifecta, baby!

“background check to weed out those with felony convictions”

Misdemeanors like DUI don't disqualify an "immigrant." Isn't that swell?

“People are an asset, not a liability.”
Grover Norquist is a liability, not an asset.
Therefore, Grover Norquist is not a person. [My apologies to Aristotle]

I simply don’t understand power. How is it that someone like this gets it?

I’ve heard it said that talent is a strange bird - it will land in any kind of tree. But power seems like it should be based on some quality, and that it should come to only certain types of people. Any ideas about how one comes by it?

This guy wants to make me puke. The facts just don't comport with his view of reality. We just had the biggest number of legal immigrants enter this country during the decade ending in 2010--13.9 million. During that same period, we had a net loss of jobs of 400,000. There is no correlation between the number of immigrants and our job needs.

The U.S. adds one international migrant (net) every 36 seconds. Immigrants account for one in 8 U.S. residents, the highest level in more than 90 years. In 1970 it was one in 21; in 1980 it was one in 16; and in 1990 it was one in 13. In a decade, it will be one in 7, the highest it has been in our history. And by 2050, one in 5 residents of the U.S. will be foreign-born.

The nation’s immigrant population (legal and illegal) reached 40 million in 2010, the highest number in our history. The U.S. immigrant population has doubled since 1990, nearly tripled since 1980, and quadrupled since 1970, when it stood at 9.7 million. Of the 40 million immigrants in the country in 2010, 13.9 million arrived in 2000 or later making it the highest decade of immigration in American history, even though there was a net loss of jobs during the decade. Growth in the immigrant population has primarily been driven by high levels of legal immigration. Roughly three-fourths of immigrants in the country are here legally. With nearly 12 million immigrants, Mexico was by far the top immigrant-sending country, accounting for 29 percent of all immigrants and 29 percent of growth in the immigrant population from 2000 to 2010. The median age of immigrants in 2010 was 41.4 compared to 35.9 for natives.

Norquist has been pushing many destructive policies while hiding behind his little no tax pledge. One of the most destructive operatives in the Republican party.

People are an asset, not a liability. The United States is the most immigrant-friendly nation in the world and the richest country in the world. This is not a coincidence.

Once, this was true. And then the welfare state came along. Now we are being drained with no political will to stop it. Damn shame.

I have a novel idea for you Grover. How about the US government concern itself with actual US citizens for once rather than importing waves of uneducated slave laborers that do nothing but tax our already over extended welfare state and drive wages down for the rest of us.
