Feinstein's Hubby Wins CA High Speed Rail Contract
Crazifornia via FoxNews ^ | Friday April 26, 2013

Out of the entire universe of those who could have won the first phase construction contract for California’s high speed rail boondoggle, who would stand out as the last person who would win it if there were no political patronage.

Put another way, who is the most likely person to win it if there is political patronage?

Both questions have the same answer: Richard Blum, the husband of California senator Diane Feinstein.

So, who won the contract? Blum, of course, as the principle owner of Tutor Perini, the lead firm in the three-firm consortium selected by the California High Speed Rail Authority.

This is all a scam. It will unfold further when the owners of the land being acquired for right-of-ways rail stations, switch yards and related facilities are identified. Maybe the FBI will take a look.

Oh I knew he was a socialist. After all he constantly pushed for public funding of what should be private enterprise.

But I like trains. I don’t miss him (other than the abuse that was heaped upon him, that was entertaining) but I do miss the threads.

Is he really dead?

The high speed rail is a dud. Stossel has done segments on it. They can’t find a single private investor. They government stooges behind it claim Amtrak is overcrowded but in actuality they are only a third full.

Learned it from MA where, after a world-wide search, the state hires a legislator’s brother- or sister-in law. One quarter of all top-level state hirees have the last name Bulger or Demassi.

What people fail to realize is that the crooks in power who are stealing billions from America are not operating from ideology. They use ideology to attain power, using the support of naive true believers to ensure that they have access to the purse strings. They preach about supporting the 99% while using public resources to secure they’re privileged position in the top 1% of the 1%. It goes beyond mere corruption. It’s nothing less than treason.

Let me guess: he was selected after a “nationwide search”, right?

Well I’ll be darned, what a coincidence! What do you figure the odds are on something that unlikely happening?
