I’m talking to a lot of folks here in the district and quite a few solid conservatives are staying home. Other Republicans are supporting Sanford no matter what and some are voting for Colbert.
Yes, I know the line if you stay home you’re voting for Pelosi, throwing away your vote, blah, blah, blah. Sometimes people just have enough of the clowns on both sides. Just because the person has a name (R) doesn’t automatically mean they should get our vote just because they aren’t the (D) candidate. Voting for R’s no matter what is how we ended up with disaster candidates election after election.
Plus, if Sanford does win, we’ll be stuck with him indefinitely. SC voters tend to value incumbency and name recognition over a lot of things. Look at our track record with Grahamnesty, Thurman and Hollings.
What a clusterflop that the voters created by voting not once but twice for this guy!
We demanded he quit and he refused. He loved his position too much.
He didn't have the grace to know that the people of South Carolina could no longer bear to look at him or listen to him. He should have resigned as governor. Instead, he made us wait until the end of his term.
Now he's back, claiming that his primary victory as a sign that God approves of him and his cheating, lying and fraud. He is a NUTCASE. Come 2014, we can go after Colbert's dingalong, horse-faced sister (who has a phony job at Clemson U) and maybe even put Jenny Sanford in her place!)
And maybe the GOP will notice that sometimes we really refuse to eat their crap sandwiches.
Sanford has a lot of jocksniffers who hoped to ride his comeback to DC for themselves. The usual leeching consultants.
