I’ve really made it a point now to not let people use words that hide the truth of what they’re saying. Remarkably it shakes them up quite a bit....and I don’t care if it dows anymore.
And...I don’t let others tell me how it’s going to be when I know I’ve done the right thing.
Ex: at work saw a father beating on his 3 yr. old kid...little guy screaming his head off...customers were concerned as well...so I simply yelled ‘Hey!”
Well he got it and stopped....walked out after he threw his kid over his shoulder. Customers thanked me for stopping that.
On the other hand...management told me I cannot interfer with customers under any circumstances, and in this case I could have lost my job...didn’t matter how hard he was beating on the kid.
I said...”well you know what, If I see something happening like that again I will do the same..and if the company wants to fire me then so be it..I’ll be marching down to the Local News paper and share the story”.
She dropped the issue.
GOOD on you. I speak up, too. Always have.
