Obama screws up a lot but this is not one of them. He didn't say "bordering state" he said "nearby". Southern Illinois is 60 -70 miles from north western Arkansas.

You missed the point. He was asked why she was doing better in KY than him. His answer was to point out how close AR is to KY... yet IL shares a border with KY and AR doesn't.

I think the point is it’s a lame excuse since Illinois is closer to Kentucky than is Arkansas, since Illinois and not Arkansas shares a border with KY.
