Earlier this month, Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson filed a lawsuit against a Richland, Washington florist who declined the chance to provide floral arrangements for the same-sex wedding ceremony of long-time customers. Yesterday, Sen. Sharon Brown, whose district includes Arlenes Flowers, introduced legislation (SB 5927) that would protect Arlenes Flowers religious liberty and provide protection from liability for declining to provide services in situation like this.
The bill amends the states non-discrimination statute and states that it cannot force someone to provide services, if doing so would violate their conscience or strongly held religious convictions.

I'd much rather this be taken to the Supreme Court and, hopefully, the entire "discrimination" farce disposed of nationwide - for good!
Private property rights hardly exist anymore.
Neither do rights to freely enter into a contract, or not, exist anymore.
Leftist slugs like this attorney general have no understanding of the 1st amendment and freedom of religion. The nazi AG needs to be impeached for treason and thrown in prison. Then after he serves his 10 year sentence, strip him of his American citizenship and send him one-way to North Korea.
Now, that’s the attitude we need to have. Enough of the namby-pamby pandering to the Left. We’ve done that for decades and look at where it’s brought us?
Send the dyke-lesbos vases full of nasty weeds, and a bill. End of problem. Heh.
When will the DOJ file suit against GE, BOA and other banks for refusing to finance companies in the firearm business?
Seems it is very similar to a Florist choosing not to do business with!
Yeah, but don’t hold you breath.
“Now, thats the attitude we need to have.”
That’s what I like about FR. It’s meeting people like you who have the same firepower as you and are willing to use it.
Semper fi, fwdude.
Mom & Dad taught me that, when I was two or three, about 76 years ago.
It still holds true today.
Dad also gave me “You can wish in one hand and $=it in the other and see which fills up first”.
I also washed my hand and quit wishing, right after that.
Humor does work well for me.
