England. I should have specified. Birth statistics for the late 18th/early 19th century in England show the latest menarche and earliest menopause of any period studied.
Earlier puberty, on the other hand, is associated with later menopause. As a woman and mother of daughters, I find this all interesting irrespective of societal implications. It would be interesting if someone studied the future of young teen (girl) athletes, who often experience delayed puberty, to see how this affected the rest of their reproductive lives.
I’ve seen some old-looking 13-year-old girls, myself.
Two of my daughters are 13 and 15 (the others are 22 and 1), and they are both taller and heavier than I am. They don’t look older than their calendar ages, though.

Well, it’s certainly part of dating for most teenagers in America. You may not like or approve of it, but that’s reality.
I had a similar experience when I was in high school. I was fooling around with a girl when her dad a ex NFL player came home unexpectedly! I managed to sneak out window but I was frriging worried!

That’s why I drove exposed nails into the top of the fence on the side closest to Little Miss Lurkin’s bedroom. I figured I couldn’t keep the boys from jumping it, but they’d have to deal with holes in their hands or rips in their saggy trousers.
