This statement doesn't make any sense. If they were "technically adept enough to destroy the hard drives", they also would have known that there would be no reason to destroy the laptops. Once the hard drives were removed, there would be no other evidence stored in the laptop. A laptop hard drive would be much easier to dispose of than a whole laptop. You could simply drive a nail through it, and pitch it into the water under a highway bridge.

You are correct about the hard drives. However, consider that EMAILS are not SAVED on your hard drive.

Anyone who believes they ARE, try unplugging your computer from the Internet and accessing your email.
