re: “Likewise in this situation, our only hope of salvation lies in DOING.”

So, you are saying what?? You say the Constitution has been trashed (which I agree) and that it cannot be fixed without violence (I disagree)? You say voting is pointless. So what’s left? Why don’t you come out and say it? You, if I’m reading you correctly, are advocating civil war. If that’s what you’re saying, then who do we shoot first? Whom do you say should die first?

If I am misreading what you are saying, I apologize, but if you are indeed advocating such a thing, you are very, very naive.

I am not opposed to defending my family, friends, loved ones, or our country and the ideals upon which it was founded. That includes taking up arms. However, there are some on this site who seem to relish, even wish for a second civil war. There may come a time when that happens, but to promote such a thing and think that such an event will turn out for the better - that is very wishful thinking.

I am not waiting for a knight in shining armor - I’m not waiting for some hero to “fix” everything. I will still keep talking with other Americans (family, friends, co-workers) and attempt to change their minds through discourse. How about getting involved in your local political party and get others of like minds to as well? Try changing the platform. Try pushing for conservatives as candidates. You may say, “we’ve already tried that and it does no good”. Well, you try and try and try again.

You don’t go making grandiose statements implying some kind of revolution and condemning “all us poor sheep” because we don’t pick up arms and follow - who exactly? You?

If such a civil war happens, it will happen when the government physically attempts to disarm us on a nationwide scale. I don’t just mean pass gun confiscation laws, I mean when the government attempts to physically take them out of our hands on a national scale. It will happen when government officials/officers attempt to physically incarcerate Americans for refusing to shut down radio stations, TV stations, internet sites that are critical of the government. It will happen when government agents start physically incarcerating American pastors, priests, and church members for expressing their religious beliefs that speak out against immorality and sinful behavior. It will happen when the federal government refuses to allow Americans to home school their kids. It will happen when the federal government, on a national scale, tries to take parent’s children because the parents do not cooperate with the federal agenda. Violence will ensue at that point I think. Not right away, but it will.

Americans are traditionally peaceful and law abiding, but we will not be like the German people who passively stood by while the Nazi’s did what they did. We DID revolt against tyranny once. We DID go to war with each other over issues that had no compromise. Americans will fight when pushed against the wall (i.e. Flight 93 on September 11). That spirit is not gone.

But even if it does and Americans rise up to revolt - what is the agenda? Who are the leaders?

This is my problem with what you and other CW2 advocates say. You blithely call for such a thing, thinking we will somehow return to our Constitutional roots. There is no guarantee that that will happen. We may wind up with something much worse.

Do not wish for such a thing as civil war. Do not spew out these trite phrases like, “Our job is to stand against evil, PERIOD” and “We must all become St. George’s and ride out to confront this dragon. . .” I ask again, ride out and do what??

Do not act as though it is a forgone conclusion that it will lead to some Constitutional “refounding”. God help us if real civil war breaks out. I do not pray or wish for it to happen. If it does, I will do my part as best I can, but never, never spew out these “heroic” statements that we are “standing against evil” or ride out and “kill the dragon” of satan. War is ugly, innocent and guilty will both die. Civil wars are especially brutal. Yes, defend one’s family, friends, and cooperate with all like-minded Constitution loving Americans - but purposely start some kind of revolution? No.

Unfortunately, from watching current events unfold, there have already been instances of EVERY single one of your “it will only be justified when the government ..... (insert transgression here)”.

It's a masterful plan of “creeping implementation” and “slow boiling of the frog”.

99% of this nation's voters have NO clue that they are in the hot water. Yikes 99% of the elected gubmint officials, when they are occasionally confronted with factual evidence UNIVERSALLY respond with “I had no idea that .....”, because they are insulated by their staffs and live in a fantasy land, like all the celeblibtards.
