Marco Rubio: Corrupted by Washington in Only Two Years
Canada Free Press ^ | 04-28-2013 | Fred Dardick

Posted on 04/28/2013 8:21:09 AM PDT by Kevin in California

It’s hard to believe that Marco Rubio has only been in the Senate since January 2011. With the way he has been going on lately, telling conservatives what a bunch of unenlightened rubes we are for objecting to his immigration reform, you would think he’d been a Senator for 20 years.

Rubio’s changed approach is really puzzling and disappointing.
What he keeps saying about the bill and what is reality with the bill is what we usuallt see from the likes of pelosi.

How can he keep lying? doesn’t he know we are reading the bill and it is really really bad? This bill is so one sided for illegals it is sickening

I hope all Freepers call their Senators before they vote.

thanks for posting this

If you want to be the King you have to do what the Kingmakers tell you.

A friend of my wife, who worked in the WH in the 80's and who lived in Florida recently, had Rubio pegged months ago.

We've obviously been had.

It all becomes about the process to these people. Never about solving anything. Add to that the amount of money in Washington and you have the corruption.

You also have politicians that fall in love with their own legislation abandoning all reason.

The stakes are too high to fool with mercurial candidates. And all too often it seems that politicians regard constituents as a zero-sum game. That is, they calculate how many supporters will they lose by adopting a certain position vs. how many unknowns might they gain.

Rubio has to see that he is rapidly losing his base - and not gaining a single voter in his misguided quest for amnesty. The rate at which he is falling suggests that he has done himself irreparable harm.

We been had. Just 2 short years ago we had Rubio on the ticket with Palin. Didn’t see this one coming.

Maybe Rubio should pull a Crist and run for President on the Democrat ticket.

Politicians are only with the constituents when they are campaigning. Once in office, if they are not with the good old boys program promises get made and higher positions are given to bring them into line.

The problem here are the entrenched incumbents who know the ropes and are happy to show them to the rookies. Get with the lobbyists and then get back to us. Rubio took the bait. I want nothing to do with Rubio. As far as I’m concerned he’s done.

That's exactly what I think happened here. They showed him the secret government.

He is a member of the New World Order socialist movement, they run people conservatives will vote for like Brown and Rubio who then stab us in the back.

Anyone that votes for a republican will be disappointed...

You make a good point. The idea of electing 1/3 of senators every 2 years is a cause of the problem because the “elder statesmen” are there to teach the newcomers the ropes. Limit them to one term and clean out the whole next of vipers every 6 years. Start off with a brand new body every 6 years.

The only thing I hate worse than a Republican is a Democrat.

For what it’s worth, Florida Cubans (my wife belongs in that category) had this slick lawyer pegged as a crook from the beginning.

Low-information voters who get all their information from corporate television did not.

When I learned that he lied about his parents, pretending that they had fled Castro when they didn’t, I knew he was rotten to the core. Don’t blame Washington.

Changed? More like decloaked. Go look up how many Tea Partiers voted NDAA and NDRP. I’m assuming a good number of them also voted in favor of CISPA but I haven’t bothered looking. I wouldn’t send another nickel to anyone who voted for any of these things.

We know they would never go for term limits, that would hit them in their wallets so it is up to us to make sure they are limited. If they are doing the will of the people..fine, if not “out they go”.

Again, don’t blame the lobbyists. He began his campaign by lying, saying that his parents were Cuban exiles.
