In an editorial lamenting a new Virginia state regulation requiring abortion clinics to comply with higher licensing standards, the Washington Post quoted one abortion-clinic owner who noted that he can do such things as "stick needles in babies' lungs" and "put tubes up penises," but now he is going to have to deal with the "nonsensical" demands of Virginia's regulation.
"Some of the clinics, including those operated by Planned Parenthood, which has a national fundraising network, will survive," said the Post. "Many others, which are run as small businesses, probably will not."
The Post pointed to a quote from Dr. David Peters, a Virginia abortion clinic owner, that was published in The Virginian-Pilot.
"I can do plastic surgery. I can stick needles in babies' lungs. I can put tubes up penises and into bladders, and do all sorts of crazy stuff in my office with no regulations whatsoever. No government supervision," Dr. David Peters, who owns the Tidewater Women's Health Clinic in Norfolk, Va. "But for an abortion, I've got to have the sterile room--the size of the building matters--so, it just becomes nonsensical."
The Post editorial lamented that another Norfolk, Va., abortion provider, the Hillcrest Clinic, closed its doors last week after 40 years of aborting babies in the state rather than comply with Virginia's regulation.
"Hillcrest performed more than 1,600 abortions last year, about 7 percent of the state total," the Post said.
The Post editorial argued that the new Virginia regulations on abortion clinics are an example of big government run amok.
"Whats more, the upgrades they face are arbitrary manifestations of the states overweening power," said the Post.
The 1,600-plus abortions that the now closed Hillcrest abortion clinic did last year equaled more than four abortions a day.
Having closed, the clinic aborted no babies yesterday.
Yeah, who cares about a sterile room when at least half the patients who come in aren’t leaving alive anyway. I do believe most abortion doctors are misogynists and misanthropes and despise that women can bring new life into the world.
Thank You, Lord.
With Obamacare, nurses and midwives will be aborting babies.
I think it is already approved in California. This is what happens with a country that has turned away from God. Only evil can live in that atmosphere.
They insist they are providing “healthcare” and then protest loudly if we try to hold to healthcare industry standards
Real medical practices are regulated like crazy, and have to undergo regular inspections. I could point out that this guy is lying through his teeth about the regulations that cover legitimate medical practices. But it would be redundant, since no abortion mill would survive for long without constant lies. They certainly don't advertise for clients by saying, "Go ahead and indulge in unprotected sex! We'll be happy to kill your baby afterwards."
Abortionists are psychopaths. They don't have to rationalize killing babies, because they were born without a conscience to tell them it's wrong. They know how to manipulate people for their own gain. I haven't met a psychopath yet who can't recognize immediately who can be manipulated, and turn their attention on that person. Any woman who believes the abortionist (and psychopaths are *very* convincing to people who are unable to recognize them for what they are) is fooling herself if she thinks the abortionist has any more regard for her life than that of her baby.
Bingo.
Hussein had the gall to call down the blessings of God upon Planned Genocide-it’s only because of the patience of God that lightning didn’t strike him where he stood. Patience is all that’s required-if Hussein is still living after the Rapture, he’s going to finally understand what God’s wrath means.
