Chris Christie: On Hurricane Sandy, Obama has “kept every promise he’s made”

It's been six month since one of the most destructive natural since Hurricane Katrina hit the eastern seaboard, and while there's been a good deal of progress on cleanup and rebuilding, there are still thousands of displaced people and closed businesses waiting for the rebuilding phase to pick up the pace:

Tens of thousands of people remain homeless. Housing, business, tourism and coastal protection all remain major issues with the summer vacation — and hurricane — seasons almost here again. …

By many measures, the recovery from Sandy, which struck Oct. 29, has been slow. From Maryland to New Hampshire, the National Hurricane Center attributes 72 deaths directly to Sandy and 87 others indirectly from causes such as hypothermia due to power outages, carbon monoxide poisoning and accidents during cleanup efforts, for a total of 159. …

Throughout the region, many businesses are still shuttered, and an already-tight rental market has become even more so because of the destruction of thousands of units and the crush of displaced storm victims looking to rent the ones that survived. …

But insurance companies have not paid out all that many homeowners expected. Municipalities are borrowing tens of millions of dollars to keep the lights on, the fire trucks running and the police stations staffed, waiting for reimbursement from the federal government for storm expenditures they had to fund out of pocket.

Via Meadia reminded us over the weekend that the situation would no doubt be an ongoing national disaster of epic and unforgivable proportions were a certain someone still in the White House — it’s really been just too kind of the media to spare us from so many of these dreadful stories of personal woe and bureaucratic inefficiency — but MSNBC did do a six-month special this morning with New Jersey Governor Christie Christie, in which he affirmed that oh, hell no does he regret his post-Sandy schmoozefest with Obama because no way, no how was any of it was about presidential politics:

Six months after superstorm Sandy ravaged New Jersey, Gov. Chris Christie said he has no regrets on working with President Barack Obama on his state’s recovery–despite political blowback.

“The president has kept every promise he made,” the Republican governor said on Morning Joe Monday from Asbury Park, N.J. “Everybody knows I have about 95% level of disagreement with Barack Obama on principle and philosophy, but the fact is we have a job to do. What people expect from people they elect is to do their jobs.” …

“That’s why they hate Washington so much. They hate Washington because people don’t care, many of them, they don’t care about getting the job done,” he said. “They care about arguing with each other and being right. The president’s guilty of that, the Congress is guilty of that.”

Then Christie dropped the ball. The Boardwaks have been repaired and beaches open for business but still over 6000 homeless. Their property being vandeld nightly!
I used to like this guy a little And I live in Jersey!
But the Cat has lost my esteem!

The following is brought to you by “RINO Productions” a group dedicated to that moment when a RINO realizes that you just can’t appease those who hate you.

Christie 2009:

Hey, it is time to vote for someone who will tell the truth about the state of NJ and how it got here. That person is me and I don’t give a darn if I am a one termer as long as I stick by my principles, tell the truth and try to fix this state. The democrats have ran this state into the ground. I know you love to vote dem, but it is time for a change.

NJ Voters 2009: We hate to pull the lever for anyone with an “R” by their name but enough is enough. Things can’t get much lower and it is time to give a straight talking candidate a shot, even an evil Republican.

Christie 2013:

Hey, that Obama sure is a neat guy. I love him, he is great. I am also a great guy and really not that in agreement with those evil Republicans in DC. I work with the democrats unlike those evil repbulicans in DC. Sure, the unemployment rate in NJ still sucks but forget that. I am the guy who got Obama to help this state recover from Sandy clearly demonstrating my bi-partisanship (wink, wink, I am really a democrat). Who needs a job, you got me, a guy who believes in Global warming. And since this is who I am, I am sure the democrats and press will fully support my re-election and be nice to me.

NJ Voters 2013: Gee, we only voted for an “R” because he said he was different and because he was going to turn this state’s budget and economy around. If Chris has done no better than the democrats and is more or less like a dem, why not vote for a real dem. I mean, we really “like” this guy but “like” has nothing to do with getting us to break our Northeastern programming to vote, above all, for the candidate with the “D” by his or her name. But hey, he sure was great during Sandy but, you know, that was so yesterday and really it was Obama that handled that not Christie. What has that mean Chris Christie who hates teachers done for us lately?

Oh and we are not really so sure that we “like him” anymore, I mean, did you see what the democrats were saying about him beating his wife and all warring on women and all that. Oh and the local media published that story about him sleeping with sheep and making fun of Sandy victims at a private fundraiser. Forget this guy, Democrat all the way!!!

Here is another of your hero’s getting good press, this should make you so proud, your girl Ann is ga-ga over him and thinks he is better then sliced bread, so you must love him as much as she does.

So I was sure you didn’t want to miss another drool fest. Maybe you can post another picture of Ann’s on here too. You know as part of the plan to rehab her before her book comes out, heck maybe she will come out too.

I think it’s clear that Obama and his minions own Christie. There’s no telling what they found when they started looking into his past and threatening his family would be all in a day’s work for them.

Maybe you can post another picture of Ann’s on here too.

I haven't posted a picture of Coulter for months and months.

You must have me mixed up with another poster.

I’m getting the sinking feeling that Chris Christie is turning into the next John McCain; The guy conservatives can always count on to say or do whatever the Leftists want because he wants their praise.
