Why can’t these witnesses testify before the House Select Committee on Intelligence? Surely the members and staff must already have clearances that enable them to discuss Benghazi or whatever they want. Otherwise, why have the committee at all?

Testify without representation? They’re not stupid, and there’s no reason for their attorneys not to be cleared.

Because that is all congress is good for - forming committees and having meaningless hearings.
