The reality is as follows: If Catholics stop giving CMU money because of this they would act. Unfortunately it wont happen. Catholics voted en masse for Obama so there is no reason to believe this would upset them enough to act.

I wonder if there is a single priest in all this land who will dare mention the idea to his flock?

For this poor soul, this very confused young woman

Oh my Jesus,
Forgive us our sins,
Save us from the fires of hell,
And lead all souls to Heaven,
Especially those in most need
of thy Divine Mercy.

To #3. Maybe it was just an “X” marks the spot.

She did put the “Pit” in Pittsburgh, didn’t she?

And her parents are spending tens of thousands of dollars for her to get a higher education? They could have saved money by just buying her a red light bulb and renting a motel room.

“C”atholics are upset. “C”atholics didn’t vote for Obama....catholics (small c) did. There’s a difference.

Since you are close, maybe you can answer this question.
She was walking around with her female organs hanging out, how did she avoid arrest. Or is there not an ordinance against that.

That’s an excellent question. My only answer is this is a really REALLY lib part of town....as bad as it gets in Pittsburgh. The cops look the other way at alot, but they’re sure to harass the pro-lifers at the East Liberty abortion clinic every Saturday morning.

When I was a young man, we called them ‘hose beasts’ ... I see many abortion murders in her future, her near future and perhaps her recent past!

But these same idiots would fight seeing pictures of aborted fetuses on protest signs. Hypocrites. Freedom of expression for them but not others.

Students at Carnegie Mellon say it’s freedom of expression, ...

Regardless what activist justices wanted everybody to believe about Thomas Jefferson's "separation of church and state" writing, the real Jefferson had clarified that the Founding States had made the 10th Amendment to clarify that they had reserved government power regulate our basic rights, including freedom of speech, regardless that the Founders had also made the 1st Amendment to clarify that the Founders had prohibited Congress from having such powers altogether.

"3. Resolved that it is true as a general principle and is also expressly declared by one of the amendments to the constitution that ‘the powers not delegated to the US. by the constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively or to the people’: and that no power over the freedom of religion, freedom of speech, or freedom of the press being delegated to the US. by the constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, all lawful powers respecting the same did of right remain, & were reserved, to the states or the people: that thus was manifested their determination to retain to themselves the right of judging how far the licentiousness of speech and of the press may be abridged without lessening their useful freedom, and how far those abuses which cannot be separated from their use should be tolerated rather than the use be destroyed; …" --Thomas Jefferson, Kentucky Resolutions, 1798.

And although the 14th Amendment applied the Constitution's privileges and immunities to the states, John Bingham, the main author of Section1 of the 14th Amendment, had officially clarified that 14A did not take away any state powers. So although such power is now limited by 14A, the states still have the 10A protected power to limit speech within reason, for example, regardless what misguided students might think.

If *this* message was released, imagine the hypocritical hysteria from all involved in the offensive display. Not only would they babble something about her looking like the Pope, not the wife of Mohammed, but they would fall over themselves apologizing to Muslims while sniveling: “Don’t kill us!”

They would already be in hiding.

I would like to ask these homo activists why they don't invade Mosques instead of Catholic churches to do their stupid stunts.

All the Catholics do is 'hate the sin, but love the sinner." The Muslims on the other hand kill the sinner.

I guess they aren't committed enough to confront the Muslims and all they want to do is get publicity and not confront the real 'homophobes.'

Dressing up like this is FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION, and is to be not only tolerated, but supported and applauded.

However, inviting a religious person, or a conservative, or both, to merely show up on campus, fully dressed, and give a speech to those who wish to listen, is NOT tolerated under the same rules, and interfering with the speech is OK. Raising such a stink that the invitation is withdrawn is even better.

And praying in public on campus? Fuhgeddaboudit.

Can anyone explain this to me? I am confused.

So what would the reaction have been if a male student showed up dressed up like a Muslim woman, wearing a burqa, butt naked from the waist down and passing out bacon? Throw in a sign hanging from his privates that says “Islam, the religion of pork.”

It’s just freedom of expression, right?
