You've got that right. Afghanistan will play out just like Vietnam did.
But there will be one major difference. The NVA did not plot to attack the USA once they took Saigon. The Taliban will follow a different model.
And one more thing. The worthy general mentioned "increased access to education, healthcare and cell phone service for Afghans and the increased capabilities of the Afghan Security Forces".
Poof! All will be gone within a few weeks after we leave.
