Tea Party Group to Press Palin for Senate Run

A national tea party group — the Tea Party Leadership Fund — hopes to convince former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to run for Senate next year.

As part of the effort, it is soliciting donations, The Los Angeles Times reports. The group sent an e-mail this week telling potential donors that Palin has a "clear path" to defeat The Last Frontier's incumbent Democrat, Mark Begich.

“You and I both know that Sarah Palin is a fighter who will stand up to Harry Reid and his pals in the Senate to protect our Constitution on issues like amnesty, gun control and our nation’s crushing debt,” read the e-mail from Todd Cefaratti of the Tea Party Leadership Fund, according to the Times.

“We know that, with Sarah in the Senate, conservatives across America can rest a little easier at night knowing that she’s at the watch.”

This is what we need—Alaskans coming to the defense of one of their own. She would be a voice for Tea Party Conservatism and a thorn in the side of the Vichy Republican RINOS.

I believe that Sarah has established a new residence in Arizona. Is that not the case? If so, she’d have to move back to Alaska.

A scenario with both good and bad outcome possibilities.

If we solidly take back Congress next year, she could be a strong voice and leader.

If the Republican pull their usual stunt of shooting themselves in both feet and lose Congress, she would be completely marginalized.

Win or lose, running at all might take her completely out of the next Presidential election.

She will not run in the 2016 race for POTUS. She is not going to run if she does not think she could win.

Look at this country now. She would be treated like dog doo.

Not sure what a *residency* requirement is, in either state.

Wouldn’t it be interesting if she ran against McCain...and won?

That would be an ideal scenario for the TP.

I don't think she will run, and I'm not all sure she should. As a free agent, I think she may have a considerable influence.

I don't want to sound alarmist, but I really think next election is do or die for our country. If we can't get a strong true conservative President supported by a strong Congress, I'm afraid it will be too late. Things have reached a critical mass towards the bad side in my humble opinion. Hopefully a strong win in the upcoming off-year elections can be a spring board to something major good happening in 2016. That's that last chance for the ballot box, it will probably take the bullet box to save us after that.

I believe Palin is bi-state at this point.

Let’s let this play out.

Palin is interested in Politics. In fact she has held several offices.

She is a natural, and a whole lot of people love her quite a lot.

If she runs, she will be a very strong contender.
