Former California gun manufacture opens in Shiner, TX [Video at link]

Governor Rick Perry is in Shiner, Texas Wednesday, showing off his latest business tactics are working.

The town is known for the Shiner brewery, but Governor Perry says having Shield Tactical in town will make Shiner, shine brighter.

Kaspar Wire Works, the Spoetzel Brewery and now, Shield Tactical. Industry is what keeps the small town of Shiner, Texas alive.

Shield Tactical, a California firearms company, is now open and operating in Shiner, thanks to the founder, John Harrington, and Governor Rick Perry's social media and radio advertising.

According to all the guys here, you can go there for beer, food AND firearms now. That’s something to celebrate for sure! :)

I hope they are going to be giving tours of the plant.

Shiner is turning into Disney World for adults: Beer, sausage and guns, what could be better.

This is rural downstate. We’re just fine with them. It’s that tumor on the northeast corner of the state that will drive them out.

Thanks for the ping. There is another gun manufacture that was going to open in Austin. They decided on Pflugerville because the permitting process is too difficult in Austin.
