You can find a Freeper to object to any policy that might be perceived as threatening his subsidy or protected gravy train of any sort, but there are a good number who object to bringing in high-skilled workers for IT—exactly, IMO, the immigrants we want and need. (Need to give them some political philosophy detox classes before making them citizens, however.)

That covers a lot of ground, including immigration attorneys, big company CEOs, real estate developers, and of course, politicians of either party.
