Moderates are nothing but lying, manipulative, bottom feeding, scum. They'll happily hand a race to the democrats just to say "we told you so" and to punish conservatives.

Here in Michigan it was a "moderate" pro GOPe blogger who ran to his liberal friends in the media when RNC committeeman, Dave Agema's "bigoted" comments on gays weren't getting enough attention. Fortunately the MI grassroots conservatives have built considerable power and Agema won't be forced out.

Besides, Akin was not Tea Party anyway. Some folks assumed he was because Rove didn’t like him, but he wasn’t. He was a six term congressional incumbent - who was winner of the primary on the strength of McCaskill’s money and voters crossing over.....
